A speakeasy supper spot in Subang, there’s a secret door to Jibril. We could tell you that the place is just hidden right behind Sangkaya’s door, no secret. The dark, retro-ish vibe boosts up your mood, perfect for gathering. College students would flock this place due to its reasonable price and hippy settings. Jibril’s salted egg butter chicken is the bomb you just HAVE to order. You could also try out their Ghandi drink, teh tarik blended with lychee and gula melaka if you’re adventurous enough. Jibril allows indoor smoking, so if you’re against it, it might not be for you.

2. Aroma Burger

As mentioned, what’s supper without burger? Especially street style local burgers. Aroma Burger is the perfect fit, if not better. Aroma Burger is serious about their burgers, they don’t operate for fun unlike other roadside stalls. They have fixed operating hours and even accept orders through Whatsapp. Authentic street-style burgers with no fancy names or ingredients, just really good burgers. Expect at least 30 minutes wait even when it’s raining. We recommend to try out their regular ones and lamb omblong, perfect for supper. There’s no seats available though, but still worth trying.

Set in the back alley, Nasi Lemak Bumbung remains to be a legend among the neighbourhood. Patrons would flock the back alley everyday to get their hands on the nasi lemak. So what’s so special about their nasi lemak? Their sambal and fried chicken obviously. Their ayam rempah is so good you’ll wonder what did they use to marinate the chicken. The sambal, is different from the typical nasi lemak’s sambal. Mamak-style supper is always the best, simple, affordable and much local.

5. HYPE Concept Cafe

Not a fan of mamak/kopitiam for supper? No worries, this cafe opens up till wee hours and is a popular supper spot in Subang. HYPE concept is a tea lab, meaning you find wide a wide array of good teas here. Sip a cup of hot tea, pair with a slice of cake or two and have some intimate conversations with your kaki. Did we tell you they have the cutest pastries and teapots on Earth? Good news if you’re a student because they have student discounts and promotion ongoing. Couldn’t take caffeine during the night? Sorry you might have to skip this then. Nevertheless, HYPE is a nice and cozy spot.

For those who’re looking for a supper spot in Subang that has good food and shisha, Oregi is the perfect match. With ample amount of seats available at the sidewalks, a big bunch is no big deal. Oregi serves a wide range of cuisines, from Western to Middle Eastern. There’s something for everyone, but we recommend trying out their Middle Eastern dishes, you won’t be disappointed. One thing though, Oregi allows indoor smoking after 11:30 p.m. so get a seat outdoor if you don’t like it.

Set in SS15 is the popular late night hangout spot, Big Singh Chapati. Serving a wide array of Punjabi cuisines, your supper is going to be lit. You know the drill, at Indian restaurants especially for supper roti is not to be missed. Try out their briyani and masala as well, a safer choice. We have to tell you price is on the higher side and portion might be a tad small. Other than that, Big Singh is a really great supper spot in Subang.

Probably not the best supper spot in Subang, but is definitely the most interesting and productive hangout spot. Meeples Cafe is a hangout spot to play board games. They have over 500 board games to choose from! Well they do serve some light meal to fill up your tummy in between games. The main point is still the games. Cozy environment with comfortable seating and knowledgeable staffs, everything is on point here. Jio your friends out to use some brain and have fun.

The star of Canai, also a unique local dish has to be Keropok Lekor Cheese. Chewy and crispy keropok lekor drenched with generous amount of drooling cheese sauce. How sinful is that?

10. Restoran Warisan Sambal Opah

As the name suggests, you know this place has got to do with sambal. Unpretentious, straight-to-the-point, Warisan Sambal Opah sells nasi lemak. The unique selling point is their nasi lemak is ONLY RM1. That’s a steal, you won’t find any cheaper nasi lemak in town. The secret to the addictive nasi lemak is the kickass sambal. Besides nasi lemak, the restaurant serves other side dishes as well. Though we have to warn you the price is a bit cut-throat, so stick to the nasi lemak will do.

    Just wanna recommend NLKSS12 at G’s Bistro SS15. Their nasi lemak is one a kind, total gem. Never had that kind of nasi lemak before.

    Food n’ Taste had a cover of them before!
