Passed down one generation after another, this 30 years-old porridge spot is hugely popular amongst the locals to drop by for a good and comforting meal. Specialising in Teochew cuisine, the star dish here is without a doubt their porridge accompanied by a myriad of mouth-watering dishes like stewed duck, egg, intestines and tofu. 2. Ipoh Road Porridge Stall
In the evening, you’ll see a snaking queue of people just waiting by the roadside just to have a taste of the porridge here. Their menu is straight to the point, short and sweet even, only offering either chicken or pork porridge. 3. Hon Kee Porridge Petaling Street
You’ll start spotting people at the stall as early as 4am, they’re open in the morning to cater to the breakfast crowds. The reason why people would drop by so early in the morning is because of their signature raw fish porridge, served with a bowl of porridge and a plate of raw fish slices topped fragrant garlic and coriander. The combination is surprisingly not odd at all, as it tastes amazing!

4. Fong Wah Teochew Porridge

Its yummy porridge is prepared using chicken stock and lots of effort are put into cooking the porridge.
