KUALA LUMPUR, 21 August 2025 – This Merdeka weekend, Monkii Global Holdings Sdn. Bhd., in collaboration with Artsense Studio and The Mines Shopping Mall is proud to present Monkii Go Play: Lokal Lah Bazaar @ The Mines Shopping Mall, a three-day celebration of food, fun, and festivities taking place from 30th August to 1st September 2025, 11am to 10pm daily. The event is expected to draw an estimated 20,000 visitors over three days, offering live performances, culinary showcases, hands-on workshops, and a vibrant marketplace that showcases the best of local talent and flavours.
Visitors can look forward to a diverse lineup of attractions including food trucks and outdoor canopies offering local delicacies and booths featuring lifestyle and artisanal goods. Hernan Durian will be preparing signature creations such as durian mochi, durian gelato, and durian mooncakes, giving visitors the chance to savour unique takes on Malaysia’s king of fruits.
Families can enjoy an interactive petting zoo by AK Snake Legends Worldwide and Parrot Mall Malaysia Enterprise, while guests of all ages can rediscover nostalgic Malaysian childhood games such as batu seremban, guli, ketinting, and sepak bulu ayam.
Artsense Studio will also present its Pop Art Adventure, where children can bring their imagination to life using different materials. Alongside engaging activities such as sand art and batik painting, Artsense Studio is prepared to provide a colourful and hands-on experience for young visitors.
Timed to coincide with Merdeka Day celebrations, the event will feature special performances, cultural highlights, and activities honouring Malaysia’s diverse heritage, creating a lively, family-friendly atmosphere for all. Visitors who register at the event’s registration booth will receive exclusive tenant vouchers from The Mines Shopping Mall, discounted entry for The Mines Members and M-Kidz and even free Malaysian flags to show off their patriotic spirits.
