Day 1: Arrive in Macau and Check-In To Hotel
We decided to book a stay at the luxurious Grand Lisboa Palace Macau. Once you land in Macau International Airport, embark the free shuttle bus directly to the resort.
Grand Lisboa Palace Resort Macau is a luxurious 5-star integrated resort in the Cotai district featuring intricate architecture inspired by the monumental European buildings of the Neoclassical to Belle Époque periods and traditional Chinese motifs. The resort celebrates the grand union of the best from East and West as it honours the legendary, cross-cultural heritage of Macau.
The resort features three distinct hotel towers:
Grand Lisboa Palace Macau
A harmonious interplay of oriental and western design in every aspect of its elegant and opulent hospitality, creating a modern yet storied ambience worthy of a World Heritage City. Each of the hotel’s 1,350 contemporary, Chinoiserie-inspired rooms and suites is exquisitely furnished with an ornate East-meets-West aesthetic that celebrates Macau’s unique cultural identity and maritime history. All of the rooms and suites include exceptional in-room amenities and gorgeous views overlooking Cotai or the Jardim Secreto gardens.
THE KARL LAGERFELD
Karl Lagerfeld’s lifelong fascination with design and style runs through the interiors of THE KARL LAGERFELD, combining bold colours and patterns with tailored silhouettes and an incomparable vision.
Palazzo Versace Macau
Every aspect of the hotel tower’s interior has been infused with the fashion house’s signature style. Evocative of an Italian Palazzo, the tower embodies Versace’s glorious aesthetic, embracing the rich, Baroque glamour signature to all Palazzo Versace hotels.
Grand Lisboa Palace Resort Macau houses possibly the largest collection of locally commissioned artworks, offering visitors a taste of the city’s vibrant art scene through featured works by young and established local artists.
Now, it’s time for the best part: our hotel room unboxing! We stayed in the Grand Deluxe Twin Room and requested for the Garden view and it was one of the best decisions ever. Just check out this breathtaking view! We especially loved that their hotel rooms are so well-equipped you can find facilities like separate bath and walk-in shower, dressing area, Bluetooth music docking system with speakers, minibar, coffee machine, hair dryer, and an in-room safe.
Dinner at The Grand Buffet
As we arrived in the evening, we decided to have a seafood feast at The Grand Buffet. The dinner buffet starts at 6pm and when we arrived, there was already a snaking queue of hungry hotel residents so be sure to arrive early! Here, you get to explore an unrivalled culinary buffet journey through the vibrant cuisines of China, Southeast Asia and around the world.
With an extensive line of live cooking stations, you’ll most definitely be spoiled for choice. Feast on a tantalising array of freshly made dishes from regions like China and Southeast Asia. Oh, do check out La Parilla, an outdoor BBQ Pit with succulent seafood and meat on the grill that’s only available in the evenings.
Day 2: Start the day by taking a quick dip in the pool
On to Day 2, it’s time to work those dinner buffet calories out. Grand Lisboa Palace Macau has both an indoor and an outdoor pool. The temperature-controlled indoor swimming pool, featuring stunning Macanese and Baroque designs that reflect the hotel’s elegant East-meets-West aesthetics. Wanna get some natural Vitamin D? No problem. Take a dip at the outdoor swimming pool with poolside loungers and sofas that offers an unparalleled view of the European-style Jardim Secreto.
Try out in-room breakfast service
Next, head upstairs to your room and indulge in a luxurious in-room breakfast, served with a stunning garden view. Choose between Western or Asian breakfast options, and enjoy the flexibility of scheduling your delivery at a time that suits you best.
Explore Jardim Secreto [The Adventures of ALICE]
One of our favourites has got to be its breathtaking Jardim Secreto. It’s currently featuring The Adventures of ALICE throughout its perfectly manicured greens, landscaped patios and romantic gazebos. The European-styled garden centres around an ornate dome that illuminates the area with an ethereal glow after sunset. Shaped by evergreens, the garden also includes grass mazes designed with a baroque opulence and lawns flanked by elegant pavilions and a colonnade. Time to get your camera ready because almost every angle is photo worthy!
Shop at cdf Macau Grand Lisboa Palace Shop/NY8 New Yaohan
When in Macau, it’s time to shop, shop and shop! Did you know that you can actually get your dose of retail therapy without having to leave the hotel? You can explore the latest fashion, lifestyle and beauty trends at lush shopping mall; the cdf Macau Grand Lisboa Palace Shop and NY8 New Yaohan. Each offers an exceptional array of international brands and unique experiences designed to satisfy every shopping desire.
Lunch at Chalou
For lunch, head over to Chalou, a Cantonese tea house featuring tea-and-dim-sum-inspired setting envisioned by award-winning Hong Kong designer Alan Chan. Here, you can enjoy Chalou’s selection of authentic Cantonese dishes, and for a unique experience, pick your dim sum from their unique retrospective trolleys.
Explore the best of Macau and Taipa
Now, it’s time to explore Macau! Embark on a half-day trip and check out the best it has to offer — from the charm of Old Taipa Village and the historic Ruins of St. Paul, to the lively Senado Square and the breathtaking views from Macau Tower.
Dinner at Wulao

For dinner, treat yourself to an unforgettable Taiwanese hotpot experience at Wulao, nestled within the opulent Grand Lisboa Palaca Macau. Known for its rich broths, premium ingredients, and elegant ambiance, Wulao offers the perfect setting to unwind and savor comforting flavors after a day of exploring Macau. Pro tip: Order their hand-punched Lemon Tea for a refreshing pair to the hotpot.
Day 3: Breakfast at The Grand Buffet

On our last day before leaving Macau, we reserved two spots for a breakfast buffet at The Grand Buffet that overlooks the wondrous Jardim Secreto ethereal dome. Trust us, it was one of the main highlights of our trip because the food spread was extensive and it comes with a breathtaking back drop.
