Muslim Chef Struts Into The Food Scene With Halal-Certified Chinese Restaurant In Bangi

C.A.T Wok Offers HALAL & Authentic Chinese Street Food

Opening its door in January this year, this restaurant was put into a start and stop as soon as the Movement Control Order (MCO) 2.0 was announced. However, this unforeseen turn of the event did not stop Chef Muhammad Amann Teoh from pursuing his dream.

Chef Amann converted to Islam in 2013. It dawned to him that many Chinese coverts may yearn for the authentic taste, halal version of Chinese food. Hence, C.A.T Wok Street Food. Apart from that reason, he was also delighted to introduce Chinese local delicacies to Muslims and non-Muslims.

Now, you can enjoy delectable offerings of Chinese street food with elusive smoky flavour and aroma from wok hei. Starting from the famous Penang Char Kway Teow (RM7.90), Ginger Beef Yee Mee (RM8.90), Cantonese Ying Yong (RM8.90), Salted Fish Fried Rice (RM8.90), Hainanese Chicken Chop (RM13.90) and other delicious street food.

Besides, Chef Amann does not only aim to do business and earn profits. But, he also wants to return the favour to the community by doing charity and community services through his ‘dakwah through food’ campaign. Lucky for him, the campaign was able to kick-start when he was invited to an event held at Surau Perdana, Selangor.
