Reunion Feast at The Chow Kit Hotel in Kuala Lumpur
The Reunion Feast at The Chow Kit Hotel presents a dedicated festive menu inspired by the traditions of Chinese, fine-tuned to fit the preference of our Malaysian taste buds. You’ll get to taste a fusion of Chinese, Malay, and also Western flavours that are made to impress everyone’s palate. We tried it, and we loved it. Here’s why we think the dining experience there is worth it!
5 Things You’ll Love About The Reunion Feast The Chow Kit Hotel:
1. Refreshing Fruit-Based Yee Sang
It’s a tradition to do the prosperity toss to wish each other good fortune for the year. We normally get Yee Sang with vegetable-based ingredients like leek, cucumber, carrot, and more, but the Golden Prosperity Yee Sang here is mainly made of all fresh fruits! With dragon fruit, mango, sweet potato crisp, and honey lemon dressing, this Yee Sang has a refreshing twist of flavours perfect for a sweet tooth!
2. Huge Fine Fortune Scallop
The Fine Fortune Scallop is just satisfyingly juicy and sweet. This Grilled Hokkaido scallop is topped with wild betel leaves, kerisik rendang sauce and signature house-made chilli oil that really make this dish a ‘fine fortune’ for every bite.
3. Main Course Served with Spicy Tomato Sambal
For the main course, you get to choose between the ‘Wok Hei’ Wagyu Rice or ‘Wok Hei’ Cod Rice which both come with the house-special Spicy Tomato Sambal. The ‘Wok Hei’ fried rice is served with stir-fried tenderstem broccoli, spicy tomato sambal and a choice of either grilled Australian Wagyu fillet or Pan-seared Pacific white cod.

The beef fillet is juicy and tender while the white cod is soft and feels like it melts in your mouth!
4. A Sweet Ending
Chef selected highlight of the menu is this Panna Cotta & Lucky Longan dessert. It’s a creamy lo han guo (monk fruit) pudding topped with caramelised longan syrup, a sweet delight that’s needed to end the course sweetly.
5. A MICHELIN Guide’s ‘Best Hotels in Malaysia’
A gastronomic dining experience at one of the MICHELIN Guide’s Best Hotels in Malaysia? It’s the perfect place for your date! The Chow Kit – An Ormond Hotel is featured as one of the top hotels in the MICHELIN Guide’s ‘Best Hotels in Malaysia’.
