Today, however, we’ve got big news for all durian aficionados out there whose love for the king of fruits run deeper than the ocean: the inaugural Durian Expo Kuala Lumpur 2019 is taking place from 26 to 28 July 2019!

In exactly a week’s time, Durian Expo Kuala Lumpur 2019, supported by Tourism Malaysia and Department of Agriculture, will see the largest gathering of professionals and aficionados of durian from Malaysia and abroad at Bukit Kiara Equestrian and Country Resort for three days.
They currently expect thousands of visitors to throng the various trade/business exhibition booths that will feature anything and everything related to durian. In fact, the famed durian species, including Musang King from Pahang and Black Thorn from Penang, will be featured throughout the expo.
What’s In Store For Us Durian-Lovers?
Between ordering small portions of durians to committing yourself to an all-out durian buffet with wide-ranging varieties, foodies will definitely be given many avenues to go home with a hot and heavy belly!
Interested in learning more about the other aspects of durian beyond how it tastes and feels in your mouth? At the expo, you’ll be able to discover information on the production of durians, as well as plan farm visits for an immersive learning experience!

Information booth by Project Pteropus, which conducts ongoing research on fruit bats’ role in the pollination of durian flowers.
