These past months have been very difficult for all of us, especially to our healthcare frontliners. Acknowledging the fact, The ECM Libra Foundation had joined forces with hotelier Ormond Group to provide free rooms for Kuala Lumpur Hospital (HKL) healthcare staff as an initiative to support them in the battle against Covid-19.
30-Days Of Free Rooms For Boarding And Breakfast
The medical staff’s selfless commitment has touched the nation greatly. Datuk Seri Kalimullah Hassan, ECM Libra’s board of trustees chairman said that they wanted to give support to those who have been badly affected by this pandemic. Especially the underprivileged and the nation’s frontline healthcare staff. He also said in a statement that they wished to help more if possible.
The Tune Hotel PWTC will provide all 130 of its rooms along with complimentary breakfasts to the frontliners. Considering that it is the nearest hotel to HKL. As such, the free accommodation will last for 30 days starting from the 23rd of March onwards. Our heart broke at the sight of these heroes taking breaks on stretchers and corridors. Hopefully, with this action, they will be able to get proper rest.
The Foundation Is Determined To Help
Not to mention that The ECM Libra Foundation will also donate RM500,000 to The Edge Covid-19 Equipment Fund to purchase ventilators from Australia. The Edge Media Group had recently set up the fund to buy medical equipment such as protective suits, masks, and ventilators. It looks like Malaysians are united after all! Hopefully, with this, our heroes would finally get a bit more rest.
