Did you know you can always bring your recyclables to IPC Shopping Centre (IPC) Recycling and Buy-Back Centre to recycle them? In return, you will be rewarded with points that can be exchanged for rewards! Some of you might have been doing this practice for a while now but here’s the good news: you will get double reward points from now until 31 july 2023 in conjunction with IPC’s annual waste recycling campaign! That’s not all, read on to find out what else you can enjoy during the campaign!

Gåva with Your Recyclables @ IPC Shopping Centre

IPC introduces ‘Gavå with Your Recyclables’ to encourage everyone’s recycling efforts and emphasise on the importance of sustainability for a greener future. From today until 31 July, you can enjoy double the Gåva (Swedish for rewards) when you recycle paper, plastic, and aluminium at IPC’s Recycling and Buy-Back Centre (RBBC) located at P1 car park level. It’s simple, just recycle and redeem your exclusive rewards!

Here’s the breakdown of the required weight in exchange for rewards:

Tier 1 Rewards: Every accumulation of 6kg to receive RM10 worth of e-vouchers + Tack points

Tier 2 Rewards: Every accumulation of 10kg to receive an RM10 worth of e-vouchers + Tack points + Swedish dishcloth (100% biodegradable)

Note: recyclables cannot be combined with different categories to meet the required weight accumulation.

Does that mean I have to bring the required weight of recyclables in a day? Answer is NO.

You can actually recycle as often as you wish to reach the required weight accumulation for the 3 recyclable waste categories (paper, plastic, or aluminium). Your recycling histories will be recorded and traceable via the Tack Club member activity profile and once you’ve required weight, redemption of the rewards can be done at i-Counter at IPC Shopping Centre’s RBBC.

You Can Even Recycle Used Cooking Oil

For the first time in Malaysia, used cooking oil is introduced as a new recyclable category and IPC is the only shopping centre to have partnered with Arus Oil and make it happen! You can recycle your used cooking oil at the centres’ RBBC on selected dates to receive RM1.40/kg additional cashback through the Arus Oil application.

Don’t forget to use this exclusive promo code ‘IPCCUS2023’ under the profile tab in the Arul Oil application to enjoy higher rewards at RM1.90/kg cashback! The first 90 recyclers will also receive a FREE Jerry Can when they present their Arus Oil or Tack Club membership at the Arus Oil booth located next to RBBC.

Alliance Bank Card Holders Get Extra Reward

Additionally, IPC Tack Club members who are also Alliance Bank card holders can redeem a complimentary canvas bag when they recycle for a minimum of 6kg of the recyclables!

Redemption can be done at i-Counter, Level G by presenting the Alliance Bank credit or virtual card.

Join fun activities & workshops

In the spirit of recycling, you can look forward to a variety of fun activities and events throughout the month! Catch activities like the weekend Små Club Workshops at Funland, Level 2 from 2pm to 3pm where your little ones can learn about the importance of recycling from a young age. Materials made from the workshops will then be contributed to creating a beautiful blooming art floral installation using recycled paper flowers at the Gåva display on Level 2! This acts as a pledge towards protecting Mother Earth through incorporating green initiatives in our everyday lives.

Other than that, a plant and lifestyle bazaar will be happening from 28 July until 6 August at Midland, Level G. Those who wish to shop and bring home more greeneries should not miss this!

Moreover, if you drive an EV car, be at ease to spend your time at the mall because IPC will be installing fast charging EV stations in the near future for your car to recharge while you shop.

Showcase your environmentalists effort & redeem a complimentary gift

Showcase your little environmentalists in action at home by posting photos on Facebook or Instagram accounts with the hashtag #IPCGavaGreen. You will then be able to redeem complimentary sticker packs from i-Counter at Level G!
