When we speak of Taman Botani, most of us would deem it as an ideal place for a morning jog, an evening stroll, or even a cycle by the breathtaking Putrajaya lake. In addition, we can also paddleboat here and it’s definitely one of those team-building activities that can strengthen bonds. Have you guys heard of this majestic place called Astaka Morocco, or Moroccan Pavilion? Well, if you haven’t then you need to keep reading! First of all, the Moroccan Pavilion has a built-up structure of 18,000 square feet. This magnificent construction is meant to showcase the strong diplomatic ties between Malaysia and Morocco.

Here, you’ll find intricate ceilings, pillars, and walls craftsmanship executed by the villagers in Morocco. These architectural pieces are then imported from Morocco all the way to Putrajaya. Besides that, several Moroccan artisans were brought in to assemble the pieces and apply the finishing touches. You’ll also notice that the walls of the courtyard are adorned with calligraphic verses from the Quran.

In general, there are three grand courtyards here. The entrance courtyard, King’s Court and Granada Court. Also, you can find a water fountain situated in the centre of Granada Court.  So, you better get your camera ready for some photo-taking session!
