1. Restoran Kin Kin

by @ bearcar (instagram)

First on the list, this gem is famous for their delicious chilli pan mee. This eatery is notable for being the creator of chilli pan mee back in 1985, so who can beat the ‘OG’ of this very dish in Chow Kit? Their dry chilli pan mee is topped with a poached egg, spring onion and minced pork, but don’t forget to add a scoop of their homemade chilli to satisfy your chilli fix. Opening as early as 6:30am, Kin Kin might just become your next favourite breakfast spot! You can thank us later 😉

2. Kung Fu Smooth Pan Mee

by @ fanny_ho3021 (instagram)

Nestled in Taman Sentosa, here is an Insta-worthy pan mee that is worth the shot. Their technique to making the noodles is probably why they are named “Kung Fu” – the chef will pull the noodles long and dip it into hot water before dunking it into the pot to cook. This pan mee is uniquely served with long and broad noodles, and you can expect an al dente bite and smooth texture from them. Give this place a try if you’re going for a different take on this noodle treat.

If you’re coming here with a big group, you should definitely opt for their signature claypot pan mee – another unique approach of serving pan mee in a claypot rather than bowls and hey, being adventurous is key when it comes to food! The portion is big enough to be shared by 2-3 people and there’s nothing better than sharing food with a bunch of friends, amirite? That being said, they also offer single bowls of pan mee for those who prefer individual servings.

There’s a reason why Madam Chiam Curry Noodle House is always swarming with locals. As the name suggests, they dish out scrumptious curry mee but many have pointed out that their dry chilli pan mee is the real star of the show. Similar to Kin Kin, their pan mee is served with minced pork, a poached egg and half of a lime.
