And health junkies, Aether Cafe’s menu may just be perfect for you as they focus on dishing out meals that are good for the body (and soul). Nestled in one of Seksyen 17’s streets, this neighbourhood cafe is a great place for winding down during the weekend. With their skylight centrepiece allowing sunlight to stream through the rooftop as well as their distinctive decor of vintage TVs and radios, Cafe Tujoh has a relaxing atmosphere that’s perfect for your next hangout. They have a pretty limited selection when it comes to food, but their desserts are definitely the icing on the cake.

4. Chocha Foodstore

5. Lisette’s Café & Bakery
This quaint and cozy cafe certainly has their charm and with their heavily inspired garden theme, it is enough to entice you. A vibrant colourful interior, not to mention a big pink floral wall that’s definitely going to make you bust out your camera, has created a welcoming ambience for patrons and is the reason why they keep coming back. This restaurant is a paradise for herbivore foodies as they offer vegetarian spreads in their weekly Tuesday and Friday buffets (RM35+) while on Sundays (RM55++), they serve mostly plant-based dishes.The only gripe is that parking is a bit of a pain in the neck, so be patient!

Similar to Chocha Foodstore, Merchant’s Lane is one of the few cafes in Chinatown that still keeps their rustic and authentic interior intact. With the collaboration between One Half and Ilaika, they are here to deliver freshly baked goods and coffee. The owner of One Half, Keith Koay has conquered 3 barista championships so far and that’s how reputable their coffee is. 8.Pokok KL Cafe
If you’re from MAHSA University, you’re one lucky fellow. Located at the entrance of the university, this cafe is famous for its open and natural concept. With big glass panels surrounding the cafe, you’ll be able to enjoy the lush greenery view and natural lighting to take that perfect food shot. Due to their rising popularity, it can get a little crowded at times so the waiting time might be the only downside here, but with such eye-catching interior as well for food that look too pretty on a plate, the wait is certainly worth it.

They are not your typical hipster cafe with fancy main dishes.
