“What’s new in KL?” “Can we stop going to the same old place?” These questions keep coming in whether you like it or not, and we feel you. Be it for the gram or a change of palate, we got you covered. This week, we’re bringing you not 1 but 5 New Places in KL to visit this week.
5 New Places in KL to Visit This March
#1 Chewie Mellow
Weather these days are getting so unbearable, agree? Even fizzy, cold drinks are not enough, we want more. Head over to Chewie Mellow, they’re one of the few new places in KL to visit. In fact, they just opened up their door a few days back. Serving a wide selection of shaved ice, the flavors are adjusted to suit local taste like Milk Tea shaved ice. Their unique, Instagrammable dessert has to be Mochi looking like an upside down ice cream cone on a plate.
Address: No 52A, Jalan Danau Niaga 1, Crystal Ville, 53300, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur.
Operating Hour: 11:30 a.m.-12 a.m. (Daily)
#2 SeoulNami Korean BBQ
A Halal Korean BBQ joint? We’re up for this! Think grilled meat, kimchi, stews, bulgogi in a mall. Price is a little steep given the portion, but the ambiance? We would say it’s worth visiting at least once. The fact that SeoulNami is set in The Gardens make visiting a lot more convenient. Plus, more reasons to shop.
Address: F-215 The Gardens Mall, Lingkaran Syed Putra, Mid Valley City, 59200 Kuala Lumpur.
Operating Hour: 11 a.m.-11 p.m. (Daily)
#3 Sunbather Coffee
There’s a theory behind the name ‘Sunbather.’ When you think of sunbath, what are the first few words that come into mind? Ours would be natural, subtle and healthy. These are what Sunbather Coffee is delivering. They are one of the few new places in KL that uses natural ingredients in food. We respect the details they put into their menu. They sure know how to brew coffee and do desserts. Did we mention Sunbather is the sister to Kakigori?
Address: UG-12 Upper Ground The Sphere, 8, Jalan Kerinchi, Bangsar South, 59200 Kuala Lumpur, Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur.
Operating Hour: 8 a.m.-10 p.m. (Sat&Sun) 10 a.m.-10 p.m.
Don’t Miss Out: Good Vibes Festival Has Just Announced Artist Lineup 2019
#4 Wicked Espresso
Wicked Espresso is one of the few new places in KL that are well hidden. Some call it Wicked Outpost, we think both sounds about right. It’s a quaint corner with good food and relaxing vibe, good for a night or afternoon chill. Exactly where is it? Off Changkat Bukit Bintang, just right opposite Six Ceylon.
Address: No 6, Jalan Ceylon, Bukit Ceylon, 50200 Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur.
Operating Hour: 8 a.m.-10 p.m. (Sat&Sun) 9 a.m.-10 p.m.
#5 UrbanNoms
This one isn’t particularly any new places in KL, simply because they’re an offline food store that delivers to your doorstep. We want to include UrbanNoms in the list simply because we love their concept. Scrumptious, diet-conscious food made fresh in their kitchen with different menu daily. It’s a green move to motivate better diet, which is also aesthetically pleasing.
