8 New Restaurants And Cafes To Discover In KL (June 2019)
1. Timothy
Serving dishes that take on the very epitome of comfort food, Southeast Asian influences run deep within the menu, but there’s as much of Malaysia as there’s Melbournes in its menu. Dining here will mean that you’d find a wide range of themes coursing through these concoctions. Highly recommended would be their Hakka traditional rice dish, lei cha which translates directly into “thunder tea rice” in English, a reference to the loud noise made when pounding the ingredients.

? 10am – 10pm (Daily)
2. RAGE Coffee
Drinking coffee has just gotten a whole lot more interesting and fun at RAGE Coffee. With their tagline of ‘RAGE AGAINST THE MUNDANE’, they’re here to counterattack any mundane lifestyle and break the norm when it comes to coffee. Coffee can be exciting too, with their place they’ve made it possible for us to work diligently and also play hard with their amusing set-up. Maybe, it’s time to let out some steam at their punching bag corner?

3. Borneo Restaurant and Bar
Introducing a diverse range of flavours that cannot be found elsewhere, from tuak cocktails to homemade umai, they’re offering a truly East Malaysian dining experience with sophistication and flair. Inspired heavily by traditional ingredients and dishes native to Sabah and Sarawak, the one dish that portrays and highlights the genuine yet authentic cuisine of Borneo is undoubtedly The Borneo Rajah. We’re really digging the name, what about you?

4. Saychiizu
Toasted bread filled with loads of melted cheese, this is what we call a dream come true for cheese lovers! Coming in hot from Bangkok, they’re now in business in Mid Valley Megamall. Do drop by for their Unicorn Fruit Toast, super stretchy with not a drop of colouring added into the formula. Other impressive flavours they offer are the Milo Cheese Toast and Oreo Cheese Toast. First one ever spotted in Malaysia, so what are you waiting for?

5. Sipping Corner Cafe
You go me sipping, tumbling, sinking, fumbling, clumsy because I’m falling in love (if you get the reference, you’re awesome!) with the vibe of this luscious-greens-surrounded-cafe. More adorable potted plants than we can keep count, feel the worries and troubles that have been bothering fade away as you step into this time-stopping space. Order yourself a cup of latte, and all that’s left to do is just relek.

Let us introduce you to The Pot, a new steamboat joint located at Damansara Heights. Pulling up in our area with their brand new outlet located in Cheras, we officially announce that it’s time for desserts! They’ve scored the hearts of many with their cute mascots but, how about their drinks? Their BlackBall Classics does remind of us the main dessert from the mother outlet, Blackball. It comes with grass jelly, with boba, red beans, and taro balls on sticks as toppings. We can’t wait to have some to beat the hot weather!
