Anime Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, 2019
Many of us grew up watching anime but it’s not every day that we can find the inspiration to turn the city we live in into an animated city. However, this Malaysian did it and he left everyone on the Internet speechless.
So, Syaf, with the Twitter handle of @syaf_newgate recently posted 8 stunning pictures of KL. The title of his Twitter post reads Anime Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, 2019. As of right now, the Tweet has over 33K Retweets and 50K Likes.
The Twitter thread sees 8 breathtaking pictures of Kuala Lumpur’s random streets and buildings with a twist. These pictures are edited (according to an online tutorial @noealz) and the end product is seriously impressive. When you’re ready, you can start feasting your eyes.
According to Syaf, there are no fixed editing steps since every photo differs from one another. However, he’s nice enough to list out some shooting/editing steps:
- Include at least 40% of the sky in your frame shot
- Increase shadow brightness
- Saturate your photo
- Decrease photo noise as much as possible

When we head over to @noealz’s Twitter page, there are plenty of similarly stunning pictures of animated cities like Seoul and even Tokyo! The pictures are so realistic you’ll think you’re really in an anime ?
This simply goes to show that one’s creativity knows no bounds. Thank you Syaf, for creating an impressive artwork of Anime Kuala Lumpur.
