Astro Reporter Shed Tears After Seeing National High Jumper, Lee Hup Wei Apologise To Malaysians Multiple Times

In the interview clip, you can see and hear Astro reporter shedding tears after interviewing Malaysian Olympian and National High Jumper, Lee Hup Wei. During the interview, Lee Hup Wei was apologising multiple times to Malaysians for failing to qualify for the Men’s High Jump at 2.17 meters.

Lee Hup Wei was also shedding tears non-stop during the 7-minute interview clip. Nearing the end of the interview as the camera pans to Astro Arena reporter, Bazly Azmi, he can also be seen breaking down and sending regards to Lee Hup Wei for doing his best. Astro Arena reporter Bazly Azmi said, “I’ve known Hup Wei for 15 years and this is the first time I’ve seen him cry.” He continues, “On behalf of 32 million Malaysians…, thank you, Hup Wei.”
