This is an all-day eatery nestled in Avenue K Shopping Centre in Kuala Lumpur. This restaurant is decorated like a Chinese teahouse with a glass house concept, cheerful Oriental murals, hanging bird cages, and windows with a view of KL city. Dim Sum is a dish belonging to the Chinese cuisine, however, this restaurant is entirely pork-free, making it halal for all the halal foodies out there!
You can enjoy Dim Sums like prawn dumplings, glutinous rice with BBQ chicken and roasted BBQ buns. Although it may be a little more pricey than what Dim Sum is normally priced outside, it will definitely be worth it. Who said good Dim Sum had to be off limits?

4. Peter & Mawar
This is a floral-themed dining venue in PJ that serves both Asian and Western dishes, and cakes and pastries sourced from bakeries all over Kuala Lumpur. It is a two-storey cafe furnished with wooden furniture, walls covered in floral murals and floor-to-ceiling windows that allow plenty of light in. Looking for a cozier setting? Head on upstairs to enjoy your dining experience on plush couches.
Foodies should definitely try their Nasi Lemak Ketam – soft shell crab atop some fragrant pandan-coconut rice, with anchovies, cucumber, egg and spicy sambal sauce, and their Butter Chicken Massala with Cajun Rice when you pay a visit.

5. Rimba & Rusa
This is another halal-friendly dining venue in PJ, with a spacious and naturally-lit dining space. It has a soft setting with pastel furnishing, potted greenery and an upstairs play area to cater for families with young children.
Some of their highlights here include the braised glazed short ribs, peanut butter crunch milkshake, and pandan French toast. They also serve desserts here such as cakes, brownies, tarts, and puddings. Be warned that all Rimba and Rusa dishes are made from scratch upon order but the wait will definitely be worth it.

6. Muhibbah Seafood Restaurant
This place has been serving Muslim foodies good authentic halal Chinese food since the 90’s. It is situated on top of a hill, making it airy and it is very spacious as well. Patrons can dine here while enjoying the great view. This restaurant offers both Chinese and Thai style dishes and they are all freshly made upon orders. They are also served in big portions thus making it good for sharing.

8. Dua By Skohns
Kelantan and Terengganu actually produce some of the most amazing local dishes that are often overlooked by locals here. It is hard to prepare and it is not very common. This restaurant aims to serve authentic rural cuisines to halal foodies here in Kuala Lumpur.
Some of the highlights include their Nasi Tomato Masak Merah – tomato rice with chicken and red spicy gravy, Soto – yellow coloured soup with vegetables, meat and compressed rice cakes) and the well-known Nasi Kerabu Kelantan – blue coloured rice served with grilled chicken marinated in spices and herb-infused coconut gravy with a side of local salads.
