BREAKING: PM Announces Implementation Of MCO 2.0 From 13-26 January

Just announced, the Movement Control Order will be taking place once again from 13th January 2021 until 26th January for 14 days.

MCO 2.0 For 6 States From 13th-26th January

This is as a result of the surge of local COVID-19 cases in Malaysia. Additionally, Malaysia might also record a spike of up to 8000 cases in May. Thus in a live conference, PM Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin announced that 6 states in Malaysia will be undergoing MCO for 2 weeks to break the chain and reduce the number of new cases daily. They are:

PKP: Penang, Selangor, Wilayah Persekutuan, Malacca, Johor and Sabah

Meanwhile, for other states in Malaysia:

PKPB: Pahang, Perak, Negeri Sembilan, Kedah, Terengganu and Kelantan

PKPP: Perlis and Sarawak

During this period of time, all social activities(meetings, seminars, all sports & recreation) will be banned, interstate-travel will also be banned for the entire nation. Only 2 per household allowed to travel in a car during this period of time.
