#4 Forebidden

They’re Asian and they’re proud of it! Incorporating Chinese and Western style into their style and meals, come over and experience the algorithm of Chinese feng shui coordinated with the colours believed to bring in luck and positive energy while you immerse in a pork belly tenderly braised in herb reduction broth that recalls bak kut teh rounded out by dried cuttlefish, chillies, onions, okra and steamed rice. Representing Malaysian flavours through lemongrass, and chilli for a magical taste is an experience best shared with friends and family appreciating such innovation.

#5 Catcher In The Rye Cafe

Earl Grey & Ambiance?  It’s the kind of cafe you can unwind over the best kind of souffle offered in the city. Lightly melting in the mouth resembling clouds and soft yet rich with earl grey flavour eliminating any taste of egg on the palate. Chrysanthemum tea is like putting a full stop to a wonderful sentence!  Its neutral-toned interior, featuring an abundance of natural light and leafy elements just adds up to the feel.

Dessert fix doesn’t always have to be at everybody’s loved Jaslyn Cakes! Hideaway is pretty much sourcing out the kind of cakes you’d wait by the kitchen for grandma to open the oven and serve you a slice of home! Tucked away in Petaling Jaya, Hideaway is very serious about butter and cakes. If you’re a fan of nuts,  baked chock-full with crunchy pecans and raisins, the Banana Pecan Raisin is the Star that will take em far and beyond!

#7 Muse Eatery

It’s a whole other contemporary vibe here at Muse Eatery. Complementing the mood with neon lights, vibrant colour walls, plants, and some floral motifs paintings, Muse Eatery could be an escape for alone time over comforting meals with a portion just nice or maybe more. Always looking forward to having Mcdonald’s McMuffin but always too late for it? Muse Eatery serving some serious replica but so much better with a crispy fried egg, cheddar cheese and a slice of smoked beef bacon. They call it the Smoked Bacon, Cheddar & Egg Muffin. We call dibs!

#8 Vintage 1988 Cafe & Accessories Store

Originally an accessories brand, they felt the vibe to do more for the locals less city-slicking goers wanting to linger longer at their vintage inspired little shophouse and so here they are serving a wide range of fresh beans and baked goods to keep you seated and relaxed. Their caramelized banana waffle and doughnut-gelato combo is a recommendation you can thank us for later.
