Chalet, the iconic Swiss fine dining establishment of the 1980s, is set for a spectacular pop-up appearance from 24 July to 12 August 2023 at EQ! With it comes memories of its heyday as well as remarkable dishes for diners to experience once again.
The historic Hotel Equatorial was first home to the lavishly designed and widely acclaimed Chalet restaurant. It was one of the most sought after venues for special occasions from 1973, until the original property was closed for renovation. For Malaysia’s royalty, socialites and glitterati, the restaurant’s flawless service paired with elegant decor symbolised an era of grandeur and culinary brilliance.
This year, Chalet’s pop-up restaurant will allow a revisitation of well-loved traditions, and the spectacle of crepes flambeed live at the restaurant. Fans will be delighted to see many of its signature main course dishes presented once again, including
- Émincé de Veau à la Zurichoise
- Roasted mustard-crusted rack of lamb
- Swiss Cheese Fondue
- Raclette Valaisanne
- Lobster Thermidor
Also featured on the menu will be the signature Swiss Classic, Canard à la Presse. As per the olden days, a succulent roast prime rib will be served right to the table on a trolley as well. To finish off your meal, Crêpes Suzette, Soufflé and Sabayon are offered during this limited time period.
