CMCO In Selangor & KL Will Be Extended Till 20 Dec 2020; CMCO In Putrajaya Will End As Per Scheduled

CMCO In Selangor & KL Extended For Two More Weeks

This just announced by Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob in today’s press conference that the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) in Selangor will be continue till 20 December 2020, except Sabak Bernam Hulu Selangor and Kuala Selangor. CMCO in Kuala Lumpur will be extended as well till 20 December 2020.

Several states will see the lifting of CMCO as per scheduled, including Putrajaya, Penang, Perak, Kelantan. However, a few districts in respective states that are still in red zone will continue implementing CMCO for another two more weeks until 20 December 2020.

The CMCO for the Klang Valley began on 14 October and was scheduled to end on 27 October. It was last announced on 7 November, that the CMCO will not only be extended for another month till 6th December 2020. But it will be implemented in all states in Malaysia, except Perlis, Pahang and Kelantan.

Since the implementation of CMCO, several states have seen the decrease of positive cases too. Hence, CMCO was lifted in Johor, Kedah, Melaka, and Terengganu since 21st November and subsequently went back to RMCO.

The Senior Minister has also updated that all states in Malaysia is able to travel inter-district and interstate, except for areas undergoing EMCO (PKPD). Besides, there is no more limit  on the number of passengers travelling in a car.
