TL;DR
- Selangor, KL, Penang, Johor and Kelantan to continue with CMCO for two more weeks till 31st March 2021
- Kedah (except Kuala Muda and Kulim), Perak and Negeri Sembilan (except Seremban) will start implementing RMCO on 19th March
- Bazaar Ramadan and Bazaar Aidilfitri will be allowed to operate in the upcoming Ramadan month, further SOPs to be released later on
CMCO To Extend For 2 More Weeks
Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob has just announced in today’s press conference that the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) in Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Johor and Kelantan will continue from 19 March to 31 March 2021.
Meanwhile, Sarawak will continue to implement the CMCO as well, starting 16th to 29th March 2021. Three states, Kedah (except Kuala Muda and Kulim), Perak and Negeri Sembilan (except Seremban) will start enforcing Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) starting 19 March. And the rest of the states in Malaysia will continue on with RMCO till 31st March 2021.
Ismail Sabri also reminded that interstate travel is still not allowed in all states. Unless it’s according to the Green Travel Bubble between RMCO states using MOTAC approved travel agencies and vehicles.
He also mentioned that Bazaar Ramadan and Bazaar Aidilfitri will also be allowed in all states in Malaysia following the upcoming Ramadan month. Detailed SOPs will be released later on.
