  • The mall’s management said it had immediately conducted deep cleaning and sanitisation of the premises frequented by the employee.

  • An employee at Origani tested positive for Covid-19 after a family member was exposed to the coronavirus.
  • The employee immediately self-quarantined and was confirmed positive on October 10th, 2020.
  • The employee did not exhibit any symptoms of Covid-19.

  • Padini Holdings Berhad confirms that one of their staff members at Brands Outlet tested positive for Covid-19.
  • The staff’s last day of work was on October 2nd, 2020 and he did not have any symptoms.

6. 1 Utama Shopping Centre

  • 1 Utama Shopping Centre will be closed for one week starting today for sanitisation and screening processes to take place.
  • The first case from this shopping mall was from an employee working at Mac City who tested positive for Covid-19.
  • Later, several more positive cases were detected at the same mall within a matter of days.

  • The management of the NU Sentral shopping centre announced that a worker tested positive for Covid-19 on September 27th, 2020.

  • Immediate contact tracing has been carried out and reports say that close contacts of the gym member have tested negative for the coronavirus.
