Make This Korean Viral Dalgona Coffee At Home In 3 Simple Steps
With boredom slowly lurking round the corner, here’s something you can easily make without having any basic barista skills. A simple yet easily achievable coffee experience that will make your morning coffee even more aesthetic! Take your best picture of it and join the #dalgonacoffee community on Instagram because there’s a lot of people on board with it.
Ingredients:
- 2 tbsp instant coffee powder (do not use 3-in-1 coffee)
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 2 tbsp hot water
- 1 cup of milk
Step 1: Combine instant coffee, sugar, and hot water in a small mixing bowl.
Step 2 : Using a whisk or electric hand mixer, beat the mixture for 3 to 5 minutes. Or until the colour changes to golden brown and the mixture takes on a thick consistency. *It’s not recommended to use a spoon (or chopsticks) to form the mixture.*
Step 3: Pour the milk into your prettiest glass and top it off with the mixture, using a spoon to scoop it out of the bowl. And voila!
A very much frothy concoction of your regular coffee is now in your hands. Feel free to add in ice cubes into your milk if you find the Dalgona Coffee too thick for your liking. The entire process runs on a 1:1:1 ratio, so if you add one more tbsp of instant then you’ll have to do the same for the sugar and hot water.
Other Variations To Step Up Your Dalgona Coffee Experience
If you find your Dalgona Coffee a bit too bland, you can always opt to mix it up a bit with variations of your own. Here’s a couple that we found that flawlessly goes hand-in-hand with your Dalgona Coffee mix! Sprinkle a couple Oreo crumbs or mini Oreos for that extra crunch in your drink. Apart from that, you can also top off chocolate bits, biscuits or even chocolate syrup. Let your creativity go wild and simply find the best one suited for your taste!
