KUALA LUMPUR, 27 September 2023 – Dubbed by Travel + Leisure as “Malaysia’s Best City Hotel”, EQ Kuala Lumpur has taken Sunday brunch to a whole new level, raising the experience 51 floors above ground. As the eyes feast on some of the best city panoramas in the capital, so will taste buds come alive at the flavour explosion of an exceptionally luxe Sunday brunch.
The Sunday Sky Brunch at Sabayon is designed to banish the weight of the work week and allow an immersion into the finer things in life. The award-winning Sabayon – highly regarded as one of the best fine dining venues in the city – has created a brunch experience bar, which also takes into account younger diners appetites and preferences.
For adults, the four-course meal, priced at RM198+ consists of an entrée, starter, main course and dessert. Discerning diners will be spoilt for choice with entrée options like tuna crudo (nori and sesame crusted tuna), marinated eggplant and rock melon, or Hokkaido oyster in panko crumbs, served with pea custard and yuzu gel and salmon roe.
Starter selections include butternut risotto, veal tartare, or seared Hokkaido scallops with roasted cauliflower puree. The three options for the main course are corn-fed chicken terrine with black truffle, braised beef brisket, or pan-seared salmon trout with beurre blanc, asparagus, and avruga caviar. Dessert is a choice between a selection of cake and pastries, or a cheese platter featuring a selection of imported cheese, honeycomb, and other accompaniments.
For further immersion into the high life, indulge in the beverage package with a RM188 add-on per person. This avails a diner to a free-flow of Champagne, sommelier-selected white and red wine, an array of hand-crafted gins from our mixologist beverage trolley, juices and soft drinks from 12pm to 2.30pm. There is truly no better way to toast the incredible views.
Taking fully into account of Sundays being family days, Sabayon has the interests of their younger guests at heart with a two-course brunch priced at RM68+ per child from the ages of 6 – 12 years old. The two-course brunch gives young guests a choice of tomato soup or French toast as a starter, with their preference of either steak hache with mashed potatoes and onion gravy, creamy linguine pasta, or fish and chips with mushy peas and house-made tartare sauce as the main. Dessert is a choice between strawberry parfait, chocolate tart with vanilla gelato, or a sorbet duo.
