Greetings, everyone! Over the past few weeks, there were so many news from 1 Utama Shopping Centre. In cased you missed out, here’s what happened – as reported by 1 Utama Shopping Centre’s management. On 4th October, it was reported that an employee from Mac City was tested positive. Due to this, 1 Utama conducted a massive swab test, and it was temporarily closed until 17th October 2020.

Food Republic At 1 Utama Officially Closed

Despite 1 Utama Shopping Centre had reopened on the 17th October, Food Republic located in the shopping mall will be permanently closed. The shocking announcement was made on Food Republic’s official social media platforms. Posted on Facebook on 16th October, the short post garnered more than 200 shares at the time of this writing.

On the post, it did not mention why it was ceasing operations at 1 Utama Shopping Centre. It was assumed that it suffered the same fate as many restaurants and cafes this year – heavy financial losses due to the global pandemic. Unsurprisingly, many netizens commented on the good times they had in the food court, while others are mourning over Pepper Lunch – a must-have in Food Republic at 1 Utama.

Head Down To Food Republic At Pavilion Instead

On the bright side, Food Republic is still available in Pavilion, and the team behind Food Republic urges netizens to visit! Indeed, this has been a tough month for all of us due to the rising cases around Klang Valley, and the recent implementation of Conditional Movement Control Order.
