This App Lets F&B Owners Record Diners’ Visit & Temperature During CMCO

In light of the Movement Control Order, we have recently launched our app, FOODIE+, to support local eateries. Users of FOODIE+ are able to check out deals for in-house food delivery and takeaways from favourite eateries in Penang, and Kuala Lumpur. As dine-in is available in certain regions, we are excited to roll out a new feature, Foodie Check In!

What’s Foodie Check In?

In accordance with dining in’s standard operations procedure (SOP), eateries must record diners’ information such as name, IC number, and contact number – let’s not forget about the temperature, too! With Foodie Check In, the latest feature on FOODIE+, all this information can be saved in a jiffy! Yes, you have heard it right. Diners don’t need to be writing their information down on a piece of paper, with a pen tied up with rubber bands.

With its QR-based system, the fast and easy method will be absolutely contactless, ensuring safety among floor staff and diners. Even if the diners are not using FOODIE+, eateries can easily key in their information, and save it within the app. Here’s another good news, apart from #SupportLocalEateries being free, this new feature will be free during the CMCO period as well.

So, how does it work for eateries?

There will be a web-based app for eateries. Once you have logged in, there are two options on the top, Check-In and Check Out. Simply click on Check-In and choose between QR Scan or manual submission. QR Scan only works if the diner is using FOODIE+. Once that has been completed, insert the temperature before submission. Just a few clicks and you’re done! In order to Check Out, simply click on the Check Out button on the main page, QR Scan to check out, or do it manually by clicking on the diners’ name. All of this information can be retrieved from History.

If you are an eatery owner, and you’re interested already, here’s a Google Form for you to sign up.

What about users?

For users, Foodie Check In is available on the main page of the FOODIE+. Simply click on Check-In, insert the information correctly, and QR code will be generated. You will be happy to know that you will only need to insert information only once! To Check Out, simply click on the Check Out button to QR scan. If you have forgotten to check out, not to worry. You can head back to the app to check out manually, too.

Looking forward to check-in and check out easily? Here’s the download link for users.

Stay Safe While Eating Out

Without a doubt, it is always best to stay safe during this period. It is one of the many reasons why we have decided to introduce Foodie Check In, as we strongly believe that minimal contact is one of the best ways to stay safe. If you are planning to go out, remember to wear your masks and bring along a hand sanitiser! What do you think of this new feature? Let us know in the comments!
