The latest addition to the massive expressway, Section 6 starts its way from the Bandar Bukit Raja Utara plaza toll to Assam Jawa plaza toll. And the good news is, all these tolls are free of charge!

The highway makes up a 11-part project, out of which 4 sections have been operating since 2019:

  • Section 5 (Bandar Bukit Raja Selatan – Bandar Bukut Raja Utara)
  • Section 8 (Hutan Melintang – Teluk Intan)
  • Section 9 (Lekir – Changkat Chermin)
  • Section 10 (Changkat Chermin – Beruas)

According to the New Straits Times, Section 6 is expected to help ease off traffic load, and cut down on travel time. “The journey from Kapar to Assam Jawa/Ijok, which used to take about 45 minutes, is now expected to be reduced to only 15 minutes via the WCE,” said Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi.

As part of this initiative, toll charge exemptions are effective today until 11.59pm, 2 January 2024. Not only will the highway provide convenience, but it is also hoped that it would be a driver for economic activity.
