Some of you may still be working day-to-day outside, especially for those in essential services. While there’re also many of you that are stuck in your hometown, not being able to come to the city for work. Well, we have some great news for you!
Applications To Travel Across States Can Be Made Starting On 25 April
For those who has to travel to major cities for work can choose to apply through the Gerak Malaysia app or head on to the nearest police station starting from 25th April 2020. This comes as great news for everyone, especially those who have to travel interstate for work. Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob has just announced the piece of good news earlier today during his daily media briefing.
Applications through the Gerak Malaysia App is simple. According to Senior Minister Ismail, applicants will just need to provide details like their names, number of family members, and their current location. All of which will be easy to determine if these applicants are travelling from red or green zones.
Besides that, you can also apply at your nearest police station. In order to avoid overcrowding at police stations, you will have to make a call to the police station prior so that the officers are able to plan and arrange accordingly.
Applications May Start On 25 April, But Travels To Start After 1 May
However, Senior Minister Ismail has emphasised that the option for people to return is still being discussed. He mentioned that even if the application is successful, those travelling can only do so after 1st May. Through the applications, the government is able to conjure up the estimate number of people travelling and plan a standard operating procedure then.
