Starbucks is officially bringing Autumn to Malaysia with the launch of its much-anticipated Pumpkin Spice Latte, finally fulfilling decades of Malaysians’ call for the most essential coffee beverage of the season. Now, everyone in Malaysia can get to try out the iconic seasonal beverage at any of their neighborhood Starbucks store for a limited time only.
The origin of the Pumpkin Spice Latte – fondly known as PSL amongst Starbucks fans – dates back to 2003, when coffee researchers at Starbucks were exploring ideas for a pumpkin-inspired espresso beverage. They would sample a forkful of pumpkin pie, followed by a sip of hot espresso so that they could test out which flavors from the pie best complemented the coffee. After the first prototypes of the Pumpkin Spice Latte were tested in 100 stores, the rest was history.
- New! Starbucks® Pumpkin Spice Latte – The recipe for the Pumpkin Spice Latte has remained unchanged for the last 16 years, which makes it the most unique and sought-after beverage every autumn season. Our signature espresso and milk are highlighted by traditional autumn flavor notes of real pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg and clove to create an incredible beverage that’s been a seasonal favorite for many. The Pumpkin Spice Latte is available hot, iced or blended. An alternative non-coffee option is also available as a Frappuccino blended beverage.
Additionally, Starbucks has also introduced its Halloween Merchandise Collection at the start of the month, just in time for people to prepare for the annual spooky celebration. Get spooked by the Halloween-themed food and merchandise featuring black cats and pumpkins to add a surprising twist to your Starbucks collection. The merchandise collection ranges from a series of cold cups and water bottles showcasing an ominous and mysterious side to our usual product offerings. Complementing the Halloween Merchandise Collection is the collectible Halloween Bat Starbucks Card.
