A Gathering of Klang’s Best Bak Kut Teh

This year’s festival brings together 20 of Klang’s most beloved Bak Kut Teh restaurants under one roof. From traditional family-run stalls to unique vegetarian offerings, there’s something for everyone. Whether you’re a die-hard fan or new to the dish, the variety on offer is set to impress. And while you’re indulging, each bowl purchased will contribute to a good cause—proceeds from the event will support eight local charity homes.

With a target to sell 3,000 bowls, the festival is all about community spirit. Each RM18 set, which includes a hearty bowl of Bak Kut Teh and rice, helps raise funds for these local organisations:

  • The Association of Klang and Coast Chik Sin Thong Old Folks Home Selangor
  • Tiam Yam Tong Teng
  • Persatuan Kebajikan Rumah Grace Klang
  • Sentosa Nursing Home
  • Rumah Orang Tua CKS (Chong Keng Seong)
  • Persatuan Rumah Warga Emas Klang Selangor
  • Pusat Jagaan Kanak-Kanak Down Syndrome dan Hyper Active
  • Pertubuhan Kebajikan Kanak-Kanak Istimewa Klang Selangor

The festival is a reminder of how food can bring people together—not just to share a meal, but to support and uplift the community.

The food isn’t the only attraction. The event will also feature a Cantonese Chinese Opera performance, live music, and a Chinese Tea Fair. For those who enjoy shopping, the Mid-Autumn Fair by Jaya Grocer adds to the experience. Plus, there are exclusive rewards for shoppers at Centro Mall, including a chance to redeem a limited edition canvas bag.
