Popular Taiwanese Lao Shan Dong Opens New Outlet in Setiawalk
Hailing from Taiwan, Lao Shan Dong has been a household name since 1949 where diners frequent for handmade noodles in delicious beef broth. Their chewy noodles (thin and wide) are made fresh daily from scratch by none other than second-generation Master Chef Yu Chi Jui and his chefs.
The noodles are then cut and cooked to order, soaking up the broth that has been simmered with Taiwanese beef bones and a blend of Chinese herbs. This hearty bowl is accompanied by locally sourced and Australian beef that’s been stewed until delicate and tender. It’s no wonder they’ve attracted loyal customers for nearly 75 years across Taiwan, earning them a spot on the coveted Michelin guide for 6 consecutive years!
