KUALA LUMPUR, [12 JUNE 2024] – LISTERINE® in collaboration with Watsons Malaysia has proudly created history today by marking a page in The Malaysian Book of Records for “Largest Participation of Simultaneous Swishing”. A combined total of 2,382 participants came together to showcase the importance of holistic oral health awareness by using mouthwash as part of a daily mouth cleansing routine.
The record was broken during the LISTERINE® ‘Swish and Makan’ event held at De.Wan 1958 by Chef Wan @ The Linc. Special highlights during the event included a walk-through of a proper oral care routine with an emphasis on the importance of mouthwash as part of an optimal dental care routine. This immersive and comprehensive experience was followed by a specially curated menu by De.Wan and an appearance by celebrity guest – Datuk Chef Wan himself!
The ‘Swish and Makan’ event is a reflection of LISTERINE®’s commitment to holistic oral care, helping to #CompletetheClean after one’s daily brushing routine. While brushing and flossing are important for removing plaque, they can quickly build up again, causing cavities, gum problems, and bad breath. Two schools within the Klang Valley, Sekolah Kebangsaan Sungai Binjai and Sekolah Kebangsaan Bukit Kemuning 2, were part of the record-breaking attempt. To encourage younger Malaysians to include oral care and mouthwash in their daily routines, interactive sessions and informative demonstrations were conducted within the schools where they learned practical techniques for achieving and maintaining healthy smiles, reinforcing the importance of regular oral care routines with mouthwash.
