30 Athletes From Malaysia To Compete In Tokyo 2020 Olympics
A total of 30 athletes will represent Malaysia and compete in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. Spread across more than five (5) sport categories, the Olympic Council of Malaysia will be sending 12 male athletes and 18 female athletes to Tokyo this week. The Tokyo 2020 Olympics will commence on 23 July 2021.
Badminton
In the Badminton sport category, we have a total of eight (8) players representing Malaysia in various categories such as Men’s Singles, Women’s Singles, and more. Here are the eight (8) players that will be competing in Tokyo’s 2020 Olympics;
- Lee Zii Jia (Men’s Singles)
- Soniia Cheah (Women’s Singles)
- Chan Peng Soon (Mixed Doubles)
- Goh Liu Ying (Mixed Doubles)
- Aaron Chia (Men’s Doubles)
- Soh Wooi Yik (Men’s Doubles)
- Chow Mei Kuan (Women’s Doubles)
- Lee Meng Yean (Women’s Doubles)
Diving
In the Diving sport category, we have a total of five (5) players representing Malaysia. Here are the five (5) players that will be competing in Tokyo’s 2020 Olympics;
- Pandelela Rinong (Women’s 10M Platform – Individual & Synchronised)
- Leong Mun Yee (Women’s 10M Platform – Synchronised)
- Cheong Jun Hoong (Women’s 10M Platform – Individual)
- Ng Yan Yee (Women’s 3M Springboard)
- Nur Dhabitah Sabri (Women’s 3M Springboard)
Swimming
In the Swimming sport category, we have a total of two (2) players representing Malaysia. Here are the two (2) players that will be competing in Tokyo’s 2020 Olympics;
- Welson Sim (Men’s 200M/ 400M Freestyle)
- Phee Jinq En (Women’s 100M/ 200M Breaststroke)
Cycling Track
In the Cycling Track sport category, we have a total of two (2) players representing Malaysia. Here are the two (2) players that will be competing in Tokyo’s 2020 Olympics;
- Shah Firdaus (Men Sprint & Keirin)
- Azizulhasni Awang (Men Sprint & Keirin)
Archery
In the Archery sport category, we have a total of two (2) players representing Malaysia. Here are the two (2) players that will be competing in Tokyo’s 2020 Olympics;
- Khairul Anuar (Men Individual & Mixed Team)
- Syaqiera Mashayikh (Women Individual & Mixed Team)
Athletics
In the Athletics sport category, we have a total of two (2) players representing Malaysia. Here are the two (2) players that will be competing in Tokyo’s 2020 Olympics;

Golf
In the Golf sport category, we have a total of two (2) players representing Malaysia. Here are the two (2) players that will be competing in Tokyo’s 2020 Olympics;

Artistic Gymnastics
In the Artistic Gymnastics sport category, we have a total of two (2) players representing Malaysia. Here are the two (2) players that will be competing in Tokyo’s 2020 Olympics;

Sailing
