Malaysia Ranks As ‘8th Best Place In The World To Retire For 2024’ – Only Asian Country Within The Top 10

Malaysia has recently been ranked as the ‘8th Best Place In The World To Retire In 2024’ by International Living’s newest Annual Global Retirement Index and is the only Asian country listed among the top 10!

As a publication that helps readers to discover the world’s best places to ‘Live, Travel and Retire since 1979,’ International Living elaborates that, “living in Malaysia provides a distinctive and enriching experience – harmoniously combining affordability, cultural diversity, natural beauty and the genuine warmth of the Malaysian people.”

The publication adds truth by stating that, “the lower cost of living, coupled with the country’s cultural richness and its geographical proximity to other Asian countries, creates a uniquely compelling living environment.”       

With first-world amenities at a substantially lower cost, Malaysia placed higher than Colombia and France on the list. To add to the delight, Malaysia is the only Asian country listed in the 2024 Annual Global Retirement Index!

Costa Rica ranked in first place as the best retirement destination. Among the top 5 are Portugal, Mexico, Panama and Spain.
