Travel enthusiasts rejoice! Putrajaya will soon be launching its very first trackless smart tram during the upcoming Putrajaya Open Day. Happening from the 1st to 4th February (2024) at Kompleks Perbadanan Putrajaya, rides will be FREE for all passengers!
Malaysia’s First Trackless Smart Tram To Launch In Putrajaya
According to a Facebook post from Perbadanan Putrajaya, this ‘trackless tram’ initiative is part of their independent ‘Autonomous Rapid Transit (ART)’ project.
The local authority encouraged Malaysians to experience the convenience of traveling in ease around Putrajaya via ART for themselves, which is scheduled to run until December (2024). As a smart tram without tracks, the travel benefits that it holds are indeed exciting!
Many Malaysians expressed their excitement in the Facebook post’s comment section praising the new milestone. “That’s the way to go Putrajaya. Show the rest of the country that ART can be done and functional,” said Rosli Khan with pride.
