Matcha is an all-time crowd favourite as is but this one’s special- you can choose your preferred flavour intensity from mild to strong. If this sounds familiar, it’s probably because you’ve seen or heard of this concept in Japan, except now you’ve the privilege of actually trying it right here at home!

Launched in April 2021, Matcha Eight started out by selling pints online via delivery. They aspired to provide the first premium and authentic Japanese tea ice cream to Malaysians and thus, only use 100% natural Japanese tea powder from Wazuka town, Kyoto!
Their farmers in Kyoto
In partnership with Michelin-starred Master Chef Takuji Takahashi, they’ve created an outstanding variation of flavours to cater to different palates. Currently, there are eight levels of intensity- from lighter sencha to deep, richer matcha and hojicha.

Just two weeks ago, they successfully opened their very first store at Lalaport, Bukit Bintang! Served in a charcoal cone or cup, customers are also able to taste-test the different ice creams and of course, take a cheeky IG-worthy photo featuring the sleek Matcha Eight sign in the background.
