The history of coffee goes far back to the first wave with the rise of Kopitiams around you, and the second wave was where we saw the mushroom of international coffee chains. Now, enter the third wave, where there’s a change in the coffee scene – a homegrown cup of joe. Eager to jump into the fray when there were no local coffee shops in the small town of Pasir Tumboh, 2 local youths discovered Nasken Coffee. And there’s certainly more to it!
Making A Name In The Cafe Scene
Nasken Coffee rose from very humble beginnings. A little under 3 years ago, Mohd Nazif and Mohd Hairi first started roasting coffee in Kelantan, and to their surprise, the response was so great that they now have over 10 outlets across Malaysia!
Nasken Coffee Put To The Test
Nestled in the Sungai Besi landscape, one of many Nasken Coffee outlets, is not to be missed. Nasken Coffee’s bold interiors reflect its local with a twist menu. With an intricately black hue accent, this cafe turned restaurant also epitomises sophistication and simplicity.
If you’re looking for fresh air, its al fresco open-air seating area would be sure to please.
Crowd-Pleasing Rendition Of Local & Western Fares
At first glance, we can see why it’s such a big hit! Nasken Coffee carefully curated menu selections from local favourites to Western cuisine that are certainly succinct. Not to mention, patrons can also find an array of classical Malay dishes with a modern touch.
If this is your first time, here’s what we suggest.
The Tomyam Pasta does not disappoint. With the pasta cooked to al-dente, the strong flavour of Tomyam soup and a bountiful amount of seafood varieties hit all the right notes!
Seafood Aglio Olio
Not to mention, when it comes to Western, opt for the Seafood Aglio Olio. The careful mix of pasta seared with olive oil, chilli flakes, and more gives diners an exceptional meal with savoury notes. This dish will undoubtedly leave diners in awe!
Nasi Lemak Ayam Crispy
If you’re looking for a local fare, savour Nasken’s Nasi Lemak Ayam Crispy. This Nasi Lemak served with crispy fried chicken, and spicy sambal is nothing but phenomenal.
Other menu highlights include the restaurant’s signature Chicken Chop Crispy, Spicy Korean Drumwings and more for you to explore!
Cakes, Coffee & More That Truly Deliver
When it comes to dessert, Nasken’s will put a smile on your face. Specialising in coffee and cakes, Nasken Coffee is also known by the locals for crepe cakes. Try the Tiramisu Mille Crepe; it has a luscious layer of tiramisu filling and sweet whipped cream on top that will leave you wanting more!
Alternatively, another unusual crepe is the Rainbow Mille Crepe. Each colourful layer is sandwiched with whipped cream, and it’s a delight in every bite.
There are also crowd-favourites like Burnt Cheesecake, Oreo Cheesecake, Batik Indulgence and more. So keep coming back to discover your personal favourites!
Another highlight is, of course, Nasken’s coffees and drinks. From Latte Caramel Iced to Hot Cappucino, they have it all!
For non-coffee drinkers, Biscoff Frappe, Mango Frappe and Watermelon Fujito give a refreshing burst to cap off the feast.
Your Next Go-To Spot For Coffee Runs, Delectable Meals & More
Needless to say, Nasken Coffee is the ideal spot for a dose of strong coffee, delectable meals and desserts! From Nasi Lemak, Pasta to Cheesecakes and more, there’s surely something for everyone to enjoy.
If you’re not around the town, fret not, as they have many other outlets in Selangor, Kuantan, Terengganu, Kelantan and more, so be sure to swing by!
