KUALA LUMPUR, 21 April 2025 — This past weekend, NEON Music Festival 2025 transformed Kuala Lumpur into the beating heart of Asia’s electronic music scene, drawing an electrified crowd of over 10,000 attendees. From mind-bending visuals to historic sets, NEON 2025 delivered an unforgettable experience that will echo through the region’s festival circuit for years to come.
Setting New Standards for Safety
In partnership with local authorities, NEON implemented intensive crowd safety protocols modeled after global benchmarks seen at top-tier festivals such as Ultra Miami and Tomorrowland. These included:
- Real-time crowd density monitoring across the festival grounds
- Multiple emergency access lanes and rapid response teams
- Clear signage and trained personnel to ensure smooth ingress and egress
- Regular safety drills and live coordination with local medical and enforcement agencies
“Our top priority has always been the safety and comfort of our attendees,” said the NEON Festival Team. “We worked hand-in-hand with city officials and safety experts to make sure every element of the experience was both thrilling and secure.”
A Night of Unmatched Performances
The night’s pinnacle came with Hardwell’s explosive closing set, where the Dutch powerhouse took the stage by storm, delivering an adrenaline-fueled performance complete with pyrotechnics and visuals that lit up the Kuala Lumpur skyline. The energy was nothing short of seismic — a true masterclass in festival finales.
Adding to the night’s historic weight, NEON hosted the first-ever B3B set in Asia (and the world) featuring DubVision, Matisse & Sadko, and Third Party. These progressive house legends united for a rare back-to-back-to-back performance, blending their signature styles into a euphoric journey that left the crowd breathless.
Ukrainian duo Artbat brought their Upperground magic with a stunning audiovisual showcase that introduced many Malaysians to their unique blend of melodic techno. Their set was a visceral experience — hypnotic, cinematic, and impossible to forget.
Homegrown Heroes Took the Spotlight
NEON proudly spotlighted local legends with a fire-starting surprise B2B between Blink and DirtySignal, setting the stage ablaze from the first beat. The momentum never slowed with powerhouse sets from 22Bullets, Marvinz1r, RXB, Honey Gee, and Chukiess & Whackboi — all of whom delivered the type of energy that proves Southeast Asia is home to some of the most promising talent in electronic music.
Powered by Partners Who Brought the Festival to Life
None of this would have been possible without the incredible support of their festival partners. From luxury experiences to immersive activations, PLOOM, SP25, FOVS, Moët Hennessy Diageo Malaysia (MHD), Carlsberg, and SureWin Entertainment elevated the night with unforgettable moments for every attendee.
Their stage production crew, D8 Projects, delivered next-level visuals and sound design, setting the perfect canvas for each set and making every drop, light beam, and firework land with maximum impact.
