NEW Policy: AirAsia Has Temporarily Banned Wheeled Luggage In Cabin To Facilitate Social Distancing

Only Allowed One Small Cabin Baggage

Before you take an AirAsia flight, do take note of this! AirAsia has a new cabin baggage policy, that will only allow passengers (except infants) to carry-on ONE bag which can be either a laptop bag, handbag or a small bag. Wheeled luggage are no longer allowed in the cabin, to help facilitate social distancing during embarkation and disembarkation.

AirAsia Cabin Baggage Requirements

The laptop bag, handbag or small bag:

  • Must not exceed 40cm (H) X 30cm (W) x 10cm (L)
  • Must fit under the seat in front of you.
  • Must not weigh more than 7kg.

If the bag:

  • Cannot fit under the seat and weighs less than 7kg, you will be given a FREE baggage check in.
  • Weighs more than 7kg, extra charges apply.

Infants Below 2 Years Are Not Allocated Cabin Baggage Allowance

Only children 2 years and above will be given the same allocation of cabin baggage allowance as mentioned above. If you are using a baby stroller for your child, do make sure that it meets the cabin baggage allowable dimensions, otherwise a checked baggage allowance must be purchased.
