Pork noodles are a staple comfort food for Malaysian Chinese, and for Subang folks, there’s no better place to satisfy that craving other than Ooi Noodle House. This noodle shop at SS15 is a crowd-favourite for many, even with its known long waiting time. However, a few days ago, rumours started spreading about the shops permanent closure due to the owners passing away due to Covid-19. But, it turned out to be untrue.
Ooi Noodle House Will Continue To Operate After Hiatus
With comments and viral messages flooding about the unknown reason behind the closure of the shop. Many speculated the reasons. According to SJ Echo, Subang Jaya’s community news media, they finally got in contact with the shop owner and turns out that the temporary closure was due to the passing of the owner’s wife’s parents-in-law.
Ann had explained that her parents had passed away over the last two weeks because of Covid-19. As a results from taking care of them, she had to be treated for Covid-19 in the hospital and subsequently transferred to MAEPS Serdang. She had been submitted to KPJ Ampang but has since been discharged.
Her parents had also stopped coming to the shop to help since the MCO earlier this year. Ann said her husband (who runs the shop) and her children are doing fine. The shop has since been closed because the couple had to take care of their family.
