If you’ve been out and about in the city, you know that the traffic is getting more and more unbearable as days go by. Sadly, more so compared to pre-pandemic days. Here’s a small piece of good news for Klang Valley folks – the MRT Putrajaya Line is finally operating this Thursday, 16 June 2022!
First Phase Of MRT Putrajaya Line Finally Opens This June
According to Free Malaysia Today, Phase 1 of the MRT Putrajaya Line will finally begin to operate on 16th June 2022, 3PM. 12 out of 36 stations will be open in Phase 1, namely:
- Kwasa Damansara (MRT Kajang Line interchange)
- Kampung Selamat
- Sungai Buloh (KTM Port Klang interchange)
- Damansara Damai
- Sri Damansara Barat
- Sri Damansara Sentral
- Sri Damansara Timur (KTM Port Klang interchange)
- Metro Prima
- Kepong Baru
- Jinjang
- Sri Delima
- Kampung Batu (KTM Seremban interchange)
The opening of the Phase 1 MRT Putrajaya Line will provide the public to have seamless transfer to the MRT Kajang Line at Kwasa Damansara station. Besides, feeder buses and GoKL buses will also be available at stations such as the Kampung Batu MRT/KTM station.
If everything goes according to plan, Phase 2 of MRT Putrajaya Line will be open in January 2023 as scheduled. Phase 1 of the line was previously scheduled to operate starting of August 2021 but was postponed to November, and then faced later delays.
