Popular Tourist Spot Qing Xin Ling Leisure And Cultural Village In Ipoh Now Closed After Fatal Rock Fall

Tragedy struck at Ipoh’s scenic Qing Xin Ling Leisure and Cultural Village just yesterday. In a tragic accident, a Malaysian man has lost his life after being hit by a sudden falling rock.

The 44-year-old bus driver had been guiding a group of Vietnamese tourists through the popular tourist attraction as they admired Ipoh’s peaceful sights. Unfortunately, disaster soon struck, disrupting the calm when a sizable rock detached and struck him. He had succumbed to his injuries on the spot at about 11.30 AM on April 8.

According to a police statement issued by PDRM in Ipoh, it was reported that, “the victim suffered a serious injury on his head. The injury on his head was the cause of death as revealed by the forensic experts.”

Following this further, PDRM detailed that the case has been classified as a sudden death. At the time of writing, there has been no evidence of criminal involvement at the incident.

Moreover, Sin Chew reported that Qing Xin Ling is now closed indefinitely.

In light of this tragedy, ACP Abang Zainal has urged for witnesses or individuals who were at the scene to come forward with any relevant information.          

He encourages them to get in touch with the District Control Center (DCC) in Ipoh by calling 05-2542222 to aid in their ongoing investigation pertaining to this sorrowful accident.
