Thus came the birth of Qra Grocer, a new and hip supermarket with a green concept and an impressive non-halal section.
Qra Grocer’s Non-Halal Section Has An Incredible Range Of Fresh Meat & Imported Deli
Qra is a specially curated grocer that carries a ton of products that are both unique and sustainable. They source local and imported products from a wide variety that cater to different dietary expectations. We forayed into their non-halal section this time, to have a closer look into the story behind the farmers and their imported and local deli meats!
Fresh Pork
The fresh pork is supplied by a local farm that originated from Johor, with a touching story. In the 60’s, the owners used to raise pigs in their backyard and peddle around town on a bicycle to sell pork. Now, they are one of the best suppliers in the country, even procreating the species of pigs to ensure purity and good quality. What sets them apart is that they deliver the pork fresh from the slaughterhouse in Johor right to Qra’s doorstep in a chilled condition. Therefore, this serves for a clean, bacteria-free environment for the handling of pork.
Qra provides special cuts, from “tomapork” and bullet ribs to thick cuts including pork belly for BBQ. The meat is freshly packed too, according to customers’ demands.
Frozen Meat
Apart from their fresh pork, they also have a brilliant frozen meat section, with imported goods from the States.
There’s a range of antibiotic-free pork too, with options like sugar-free, gluten-free and nitrate-free as well! With this, consumers can be more conscious about their consumption and the additives that go into their products.
Their core product, Johnsonville, has no fillers and comes in cooked or uncooked options.

Deli Meat
As Qra has a great turnover rate, their hams and salamis are constantly fresh! At their deli section, there are both local and imported products such as 100% natural prosciutto with no additives (cured with salt and spices only), and even baby salamis infused with truffle or wine.
Natural & Organic Wines
Not only do they have a great selection of meat, Qra also has a fantastic range of natural and organic wines. They currently have 4 brands found exclusively at Qra- CCV, Super B, Porc Tout Gai, and their bestseller Radikon.
The natural wines are fermented with natural yeast and are made with handpicked grapes.
