Good day, foodies. Just a heads up, the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) is coming to an end. In less than two weeks, specifically on the 31st of August 2020 (National Day), things may or may not go back to normal, depending on our government’s announcement. That said, remember the driving license and road tax renewal exemption that was granted during MCO? That has to go as well.
Remember to Renew Your Expired Driving License and Road Tax:
During the MCO,Transport Minister Wee Ka Siong mentioned those with expired driving licenses and road tax can still be on the road, given they have valid insurance coverage until the order ends. Now that RMCO is coming to an end, time to head over to your nearest road transport department (JPJ) offices and get all the necessary documents updated.
According to the Road Transport Department, you can also renew your expired permits online via mySikap. Starting from next month, enforcement teams will conduct checks to ensure drivers have valid documents. Better be safe than sorry, we highly recommend you guys get your documents updated as soon as possible. You don’t want to be in the queue for hours with the “last minute” crowd.
We also suggest renewing your documents online to avoid any crowd. After all, it’s best to practice safe social distancing. If you prefer going to the JPJ outlet, don’t forget to social distance and practice safe hygiene. Stay safe and have a great day ahead, buh bye!
