Sakunja At Sri Hartamas Is Heaven For Seafood Lovers

Owned by a mother and son duo, Sakunja serves up authentic Nam-Do Style seafood dishes that’s mostly marinated and seasoned. They even have authentic fermented skate dishes that you can only have in Korea. Besides that, raw seafood is a huge thing in Korea and they have a huge array for you to choose from too!

The one dish you definitely have to try here is their Live Small Octopus! Yes, you read that right. A delicacy you can commonly find in Korea is a rare treat for seafood lovers here in KL. The octopuses are taken straight from their tanks and served to you fresh. They chop it up in tiny pieces so munching it is easier.

Besides, sashimi lovers will find a good selection of raw seafood here, especially their raw fish is a favourite amongst locals. Go for something different by getting the Flounder sashimi. Pair it with the sesame oil dipping sauce prepared for you and have it melt in your mouth at first bite! Don’t miss out on the spicy fish stew that’s made with the same Flounder fish – addictively spicy with each slurp!

If live seafood is not your cup of tea, you can try their marinated and seasoned seafood selection. Yet another Korean delicacy rarely found here is the Yeo-Su Soy Sauce Marinated Crab and Soy Sauce Marinated Tiger Prawn. They use their family recipe for all marination with fresh seafood in Korea, then air-flown here weekly. It ain’t a joke when they say you can definitely find authentic Korean food here!

Up next, Sakunja also has a great selection of Korean pancakes for you to try. From meat to seafood to veggies – they have it all! Can’t make up your mind? Simply get their Pancake Set that comes with five different kinds of pancakes. You can choose from a small or big portion with the big one feeding up to 6-8 pax! Craving for some type of protein? Another great thing here at Sakunja is their incredibly generous servings of banchan (side dishes)! You can get up to 15 refillable banchans, all of which are made in house by the ajumma. You can also get a taste of all these amazing banchan with their daily set meals too. For the price of RM27, you can choose from grilled pork or mackerel for meat options and it comes with rice, soup and up to 15 banchan! However, do note that the banchans for daily sets may differ and are only refillable for certain side dishes,
