Secret Recipe Has Just Rolled Out New Nasi Tumpang Schambal
Nasi Tumpang, also known as Nasi Tupe, is a rice dish with origins from Kelantan. It usually consists of different layers, formed into a cone shape.
At Secret Recipe, they’ve teamed up with Schambal by Scha Alyahya and Awal Ashaari to recreate this regional favourite. The rice is layered with scrambled eggs, spicy chicken floss, minced chicken curry and is sprinkled with a generous amount of Kak Yan’s Schambal Ikan Bilis. Beware, this Schambal is crispy, spicy and highly addictive!
There are two Nasi Tumpang Schambal options to choose from:
Nasi Tumpang Schambal with Spiced Chicken
Served with Schambal ikan bilis garing, spiced chicken, acar (pickled vegetables) and curry sauce
The spiced chicken is absolutely delicious! It’s tender and juicy, pairing perfectly with the intense flavours of the curry sauce.
The layered rice is akin to nasi impit, and is irresistibly scrumptious when eaten with the Schambal ikan bilis garing!

Nasi Tumpang Schambal with Grilled Mackerel
Served with Schambal ikan bilis garing, grilled mackerel, acar (pickled vegetables) and curry sauce.
If you love fish, this grilled mackerel will sate your appetite as it’s flaky, flavourful and complements the rice that’ll send bursts of flavours through your mouth!
