Good day, foodies! While we’re in the midst of a virus outbreak and have to set aside all our travel plans, don’t despair as every cloud has a silver lining. Today, we’re bringing you all the way to the land of sushi, as Starbucks Japan has recently opened up a new branch that looks nothing but a Traditional Japanese house.

About This New Starbucks Japan:

Set in Kawagoe, a town also known as “Little Edo,” it’s not too far from Tokyo. The new Starbucks Japan is a reflection of the townscape, inspired by the warehouses of the city. The design is the perfect representation of “traditional meets modern.” From the outside, the exterior has a strong Japanese element that looks like one of those Traditional Japanese shophouses.

The interior of this new Starbucks Japan however, boast modern elements of concrete and steel, paying attention to Japanese furniture. The huge floor-to-ceiling window allows ample reflection of natural light that creates a zen vibe. Tucked near to the bell tower of Kawagoe, imagine yourself indulging a cup coffee while the bell rings occasionally, four times a day to be exact.

The outdoor seating area is surrounded by contemporary Japanese Zen garden decorated with trees, decorated with stone garden. No doubt it’s going to be the crowd’s favourite for photo taking of this new Starbucks Japan.
