The Christmas season is finally here and that means delicious hotel promos! The Chow Kit Hotel (voted 1 of 52 Places to Go in 2020 by The New York Times) is offering a 5-course meal for only RM160+ per pax. Available from now until 3rd Jan 2021, the menu will feature local Malaysian flavours prepared by highly-regarded Chef Ell.
The Chow Kit Hotel Kitchen & Bar 5-Course Festive Menu
The meal will start off with Ceviche Ulam Raja served with fresh snapper with miso mustard oil. After that, you’ll be treated with Seafood Wanton Consommé which is scallop and tiger prawn dumplings served in double boiled chicken consommé.
As for the entreé before the main course, there’s the Mussels Capellini Laksa, which is angel hair pasta in coconut broth served with fresh mussels full of lemongrass & galangal flavours. For the main course, you get a 3 choices between: Chicken Roulade, roasted chicken breast stuffed with spicy otak-otak; Ocean Grouper, pan seared grouper with cumin basil chermoula & tamarind sauce; or Short Ribs, grilled-Australian ribs in sweet Sarawak peppercorn glaze.
Finally, the meal ends on a sweet note with a steamed Gula Melaka Cake infused with cinnamon, served with rum & raisin ice cream!
Wine & Malaysian Inspired Cocktails
Apart from great food, they too have a wide selection of wine and cocktails, such as the Singgah Setengah – a teh-tarik inspired cocktail with Bacardi infused pandan. If you crave something fruity, try out the K.L Hustle – a gin based cocktail with fresh orange juice, homemade apple & vanilla liquer, and bitters.
