From the return of the Nutcracker Café, festive room stays that include a relaxing spa session, Christmas and New Year’s dining, meeting Santa and Santarina, to bidding farewell to 2024 with the Enchanted Eve New Year’s Eve party, the resort promises something for everyone.
As Christmas is known as the season of giving, the resort’s festivities begin with The Wishing Tree on 7 December, where guests are invited to a heartwarming tree lighting ceremony in support of the children from the Langkawi Autism Center (LACC). Guests can take home one of the children’s handcrafted Christmas ornaments, which adorn the tree. Each ornament represents their stories of creativity, hope, and the power of the human spirit. Proceeds from the ornaments will go toward supporting the LACC. After purchasing, guests will also be able to write a loving note of thanks to the children. As the sun sets, the tree-lighting ceremony will cast a magical glow over the surroundings.
The Christmas cheer continues on Boxing Day, as the resort collaborates with the Networking Action for Disabled Youths (NADY). Guests can purchase handmade canvas bags, batik paintings, hand-painted t- shirts, toiletry bags, and more – the perfect mementos from a festive getaway that supports the lives of local artisans.
The Nutcracker Café
Inspired by Tchaikovsky’s beloved ballet, the Library invites guests to enter the Nutcracker Café, a cozy and intimate space, where the enchanting aroma of freshly baked treats fills the air. Ornate decorations adorn the café, creating a warm and welcoming ambiance for guests. The Nutcracker himself stands tall, from the walkway of Langkawi Kitchen and before the café’s entrance. Families can partake in festive activities such as Christmas Cookie Decoration and Gingerbread House Making, while the resort’s pastry team has whipped up a delightful array of Yuletide treats, from whimsical chocolate creations to pastries.
While the little ones unleash their creativity, the adults can enjoy a sumptuous Christmas Afternoon Tea with flavorful bites like Foie Grass Mousse, freshly baked Orange Scones with Homemade Strawberry & Orange Jam, Andaman Lobster Vol Au Vent and gingerbread, while admiring the view of the lush rainforest. This limited-time afternoon tea can also be enjoyed at The Beach Grill.

December Dining Decadence
‘Tis a season of joy and feasting, with families and loved ones reuniting for Christmas Eve dinner to celebrate and give thanks to a year of happiness. Led by Executive Chef Moreno Miotto, the resort’s culinary team has curated three different menus to satisfy everyone’s cravings, presented in three of the resort’s four dining outlets.
For a Christmas Eve dinner with a Malaysian twist guests can dine at Langkawi Kitchen. The Christmas Eve Seafood Set Menu is a symphony of authentic flavors and fresh produce, inviting you on a gourmet adventure through the country’s rich heritage and diverse tapestry of dishes with highlights such as Kepah Hitam Goreng Serai and Udang Kara Lemak Nenas Nyonya Mansor. With the majestic architecture of Langkawi Kitchen that was inspired by the longhouses of Bornean tribes and boasting panoramic views of the 10-million-year-old rainforest it is a wonderful alternative to the traditional Christmas dinner.
Al-fresco dining awaits at The Beach Grill, where the sound of live music accompanies a smorgasbord of grilled delights and Western favorites. Guests can watch the culinary team weave their magic at live cooking stations, against the serene beauty of the Andaman Sea, before tucking into the likes of a moreish Roast Turkey, Prime Ribs, Wagyu Beef, Beef Tartare and more.
The twinkling lanterns of the opulent Hai Yan beckon, with the promise of a seven-course feast by Executive Chinese Chef Wang and his innovative team. As Langkawi’s only modern Chinese restaurant, the chefs present a mix of classics and contemporary interpretations to awaken the senses. Savor succulent Braised Beef Shin, silky smooth Braised Homemade Eefu Noodle with fresh Rock Lobster, and more while gazing out at the horizon, as the waves crash against the rocks beneath the restaurant.
Guests wishing to celebrate in the comfort of their villa may indulge in a traditional roast turkey that comes with seasonal sides and desserts such as Salted Caramel Apple Pie and Festive Pudding topped with butterscotch sauce. The roast turkey is also available at all outlets and for takeaway.

The Festive Indulgence at The Ritz-Carlton Spa
The Ritz-Carlton’s award-winning spa understands the need to pamper oneself after a busy year, with three rejuvenating treatments available with The Festive Indulgence. They’ll get hands on with Christmas-themed activities like Ornament Making, Letters to Santa and Dreamcatcher Making, as well as enjoying indoor and outdoor activities. The S’mores Bonfire Movie is a cozy get-together where they’ll roast s’mores, the campfire favorite where gooey chocolate and marshmallows are melted between crackers, or they can go stargazing and discover the myths and legends behind constellations such as Orion the Hunter.
Ensuring that our young guests leave the resort entertained and with a love for the world, the Christmas activities incorporate the four pillars of Ritz Kids: Nature, Exploration, Responsibility and Culture, with Nature Collage and Rudolph’s Bookmark Making using recycled materials. On Christmas Eve and Christmas Day they’ll also have the chance to meet Santa Claus, Santarina, and the jolly Elf with Santa Story Time and the exciting Santa and Reindeer Sleigh Tour, where they’ll whizz around the resort.
